Stormy weather and torrential rains on the way

And then there was rain! Heavy rains and storms hit the Dubrovnik region last night bringing an end to the warm and dry autumn. It is predicted that the rain will continue over the weekend and on Monday and Tuesday the rains will be at their worst. Torrential rains are expected for the beginning of next week with over 100 litres per square metre expected.“On Monday and Tuesday of next week there will be almost as much rain as the whole of this year” commented Rade Popadic from the association “Crometeo.” Floods are expected over the whole of Dalmatia and 100 litres of rain is expected to fall per square metre which is roughly the amount that normally falls in the whole of October.
