Game of Thrones Iron Throne in Dubrovnik

Today at Sun Gardens, Dubrovnik, the 'Iron Throne' from the HBO serial Game of Thrones was unveiled for the first time in Dubrovnik. The Sun Gardens, Dubrovnik is currently playing host to one of the biggest media conferences in Europe, the New Europe Market, with global TV networks including Disney, CBS, Food Network and HBO all in attendance.Dubrovnik is the location for Kings Landing in the Game of Thrones series and a replica of the iconic throne was unveiled at the resort today. From Wednesday the throne will be on display in front of the Sponza Palace in the Old City of Dubrovnik. Guests will be able to pose for photographs with this popular prop from the TV show. And although it is a replica it is sure to be a hit with tourists, weighing in at 135 kilograms and standing 2.2 metres tall the iron throne will draw the crowds.The official unveiling ceremony of the Iron Throne from the series “Game of Thrones” will be held in front of the Sponza Palace on Wednesday, the 11th of June 11 at 12am, after which it will be on display to the public until Friday, the 13th of June till 6pm.Guests are invited to capture the opportunity to take photographs in King's Landing on the Iron Throne!
