Gala opening of hotel Valamar President

In a glamorous ceremony on Wednesday evening the Valamar President hotel was officially reopened after the completion of extensive renovation works. The Hotel Valamar President now has a new, improved five-star glow with a new outdoor pool, expanded conferences facilities and parking. The reception area of the hotel has been completely reorganized and now offers spectacular unbroken views over the Adriatic Sea and the Elaphite islands.The opening ceremony were attended by numerous guests and dignitaries the Minister of Tourism, Darko Lorencin, the Dubrovnik – Nerevta County Mayor, Nikola Dobroslavic and the director of Valamar Dubrovnik President Jan-Claudio Rahn.The total investment in the renovation of the five-star hotel was worth 146 million Kuna. The new look Valamar President will undoubtedly contribute to the further affirmation of Dubrovnik as a prestigious tourist destination. With five hotels in Dubrovnik the Valamar group is an important partner to the city, the newly completed Hotel Valamar President is the first five star hotel in the groups portfolio.- If we compare our figures last year with those of the year 2000 then we have increased the number of rooms in Dubrovnik from 875 to 1547, and from 1750 beds to 3094 and achieved overnight stays from 166,000 to 485,000 – commented Gustav Wurmböck the President of the Board for the Valamar Group.
