The event was presented by Selma Hafizovic Muller in the Dubrovnik Contemporary Gallery. The book is yet to be published so the audience in Dubrovnik were able to get a sneak preview as well as ask questions directly to Lederer.Don Quixote Saving America will be published in 2015, which rather fittingly is the 400th anniversary of the completion of Miquel de Cervantes' masterpiece Don Quixote. The theme of the book is about a 68 year old, Don Hotey, and a 19 year old hitchhiker, Sancho, who set out from California in an old car, hoping to save the country they love. Quoting directly from the book "Wanting to believe a thing is the first and biggest step. From that to believing is as easy as landing in the water after you've already jumped.""In Cervantes, the book's hero dreams of ridding the world of evil. My hero shares that same dream. Cervantes' Don Quixote was a self-created figure with the courage to be different. In a world of group-think, my hero also dares to be himself. Cervantes' hero believed in the romantic idea of his great love, Dulcinea. In my book, my hero believes in the romantic idea of America…one people made up of all peoples. Cervantes' Don Quixote was a self-created figure with the courage to be different. In a world of group-think, my hero also dares to be himself. Cervantes' hero believed in the romantic idea of his great love, Dulcinea. In my book, my hero believes in the romantic idea of America…one people made up of all peoples. And as long as one believes there is hope," commented Lederer.
