Dubrovnik Hospital receives valuable donation

Three Croatian hospitals, including Dubrovnik, have received a valuable donation of ultrasonic apparatus from the Japanese Institute of Ultrasound and Molecular Genetics. The new ultrasound machines were presented at the international university DIU Libertas in Zagreb.The donations will go to the Zagreb Hospital “Holy Spirit”, the gynaecology clinic of the University of Rijeka and the Dubrovnik General Hospital. The donation of these three Voluson 8 ultrasound machines is extremely generous as the value of each unit is around 100,000 Euros, according to information from PR department of DIU University.The donation was received by Dr. Marko Gardašanić from the Dubrovnik General Hospital, Dr. Milan Stanojevic for a gynaecology clinic of the Zagreb Hospital and Dr. Alenka Brnčić-Fischer for the gynaecology clinic of the University of Rijeka. The ceremony in Zagreb was also attended by Prof. Ritsuko Pooh from Osaka the director of the Institute of Fetal Medicine at the Pooh Maternity Clinic in Osaka and Prof. Ritsuko handed over the donation. Prof. Dr. Ritsuko Pooh is a leading expert on three-dimensional ultrasound and author of 36 books.
