John Malkovich loves relaxing in Croatia

Hollywood actor John Malkovich has praised Croatia in a recent interview with the renowned UK newspaper The Telegraph. When asked what the most relaxing destination he had ever visited Malkovich answered Croatia. “The Croatian coast. My family and I have been there a few times for holidays, sailing along the coast and there are some lovely places to visit – Vis, which has great fish restaurants, and Palmizana, which is close to Hvar (which is also really nice),” answered the Hollywood star.Malkovich, whose grandparents were born in Croatia, was rumoured to be interested in purchasing a property near Dubrovnik in Tresteno a few years ago. Apparently the actor offered 3 million Euros for Villa Aurora in Trsteno which is directly on the coastline. However the owners of the villa, the Red Cross of BIH, could not agree on the conditions and Malkovich was left empty handed. The actor has visited Dubrovnik a few times, the last time was with Sir Roger Moore as part of the Julian Rachlin Festival.
