Game of Thrones coming back to Dubrovnik for next two years

HBO and the popular Game of Thrones series will be coming back this year for another season of shooting in Croatia. Jay Roewe, a senior HBO executive, met with Croatian minister of trade, Gordan Maras, and he confirmed that the American TV giant would invest over 8 million Euros over the next two years in Croatia.Speaking to the media after his visit to the US Maras commented that “It is in Croatia’s interest that they (HBO) continue, especially a series such as Game of Thrones. Our interest is that stay here, that they are happy, and that we treat them very well. They also have other projects for Croatia which they are interested in.” The fifth season of the series is currently on HBO around the world and it is expected that the cast and crew will once again visit Dubrovnik, which acts as Kings Landing in the serial, later in the summer.
