Downpour in Dubrovnik causes traffic havoc

When it rains in Dubrovnik it really rains! The heavens opened this afternoon in Dubrovnik and for half an hour the city was flooded. The fire brigade was called out to seven different interventions, including the Stradun were a wave of flood water had left tourists and locals looking for cover.The thunders and storms lasted for less than an hour before the sun came out again quickly drying the roads. However in the short space of time that it did rain the roads around the city took a pounding. The tarmac on one of the busiest intersections in Dubrovnik was pulled up leaving a hole that caused massive traffic jams.
