Three new boat services introduced in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik will have a new boat service for tourists this summer. In early July, the City of Dubrovnik, the public transportation company Libertas and the Lokrum Reserve will start a project "Dubrovnik Vaporetto". In this new service citizens and tourists will be offered three boat services, and the good news is that it is free for tourists with the DU Card.The first boat line will connect the market in Gruz with Hotel Lapad across the bay of Lapad, the second from the beach in Solitudo with the Hotel President and the third line will be longer and will run from Mokosica to Gruz and then onto the Old City before ending up on the island of Lokrum.The first two lines will be introduced in early July, while the third link will start in the middle of next month. The introduction of this line will also coincide with the opening of the Game of Thrones visitors' centre of the island Lokrum, in which an iron throne from the serial will be on show.The Mayor of Dubrovnik pointed out that these new boat services will be absolutely free for tourists who have purchased the Dubrovnik City Card. For next season the introduction of a more boat services are planned, including the Elaphite islands.
