Germany has always traditionally been a strong market for the Dubrovnik tourist industry, thousands of Germans flock to the Croatian coastline every year for the sun and beaches. Last year around 50,000 German tourists visited Dubrovnik and accounted for 230,000 overnight stays. And today, the 30th of June, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board held a working lunch with Bavarian journalists in Munich at which they explained and presented the city’s autumn tourist offer. At the lunch, which was organised jointly with the Croatian National Tourist Board from Munich and Frankfurt, the Bavarian media got to taste specialties from the Dubrovnik region as well as home-grown wines.Tomorrow a large presentation of the autumn Dubrovnik offer will be held at which one of the most prominent Bavarian media groups Mercury will attend. Both of these events are part of a promotional campaign, which the Dubrovnik Tourist Board is carrying out in Bavaria in order to attract even more German tourists to Dubrovnik. And with the emphasis of the presentations being “out of season” tourism the city should hope for a more balanced arrival of guests throughout the whole year. After all Dubrovnik is truly a city for all seasons.
