This summer will certainly be one to remember in Dubrovnik, especially if you are a sun-lover. The baking temperatures that have sent thermometers racing to the high thirties for most of the past three weeks look set to continue for at least another seven days. Dubrovnik looks to be gripped in a long-term tropical heat wave with no sign of rain, or even cloud cover, for at least until the end of this week. According to information from the Croatian Meteorological Service Dubrovnik can expect temperatures in the mid thirties combined with high humidity until the weekend. In fact the forecasters predict that until the 8th of August Dubrovnik will remain locked in this heat wave. The advice from experts is to stay out of direct sunshine from 11.00am until 17.00pm if possible and to take plenty of fluids onboard. The Adriatic Sea isn’t offering much respite from the soaring temperatures either as the current temperature is 26 degrees. The temperature through the night hours are also high, last night temperatures measured between 24 and 26 degrees through the night.Folow The Dubrovnik Times on Facebook
